In between

Yael

life is an unbalanced game

those who find themselves at the top of it

often plunge to their death

stuck in a parody you can’t see

an endless loop of snapshots you won’t escape

yet there are those who live in between,

walking around seamlessly searching for the thing they will never have

I often find myself in between

head rolling like a bad symphony

thoughts consuming any prospect

emptiness station at the pit of my stomach

I find myself thinking about the fine line that life is, there is to be or not to be

but to those who are grasping strings

an in between is all there will ever be
