You linger in my thoughts, impossible to ignore,
A man like you, a rarity, I adore.
If only we could turn back time,
To when your heart was, rightfully, mine.
I'd embrace you tightly, never to release,
Taking things slow, finding our own peace.
This time around, I'd get it just right,
In the rewind of moments, a love story in sight.

- Comment from author about the poem: I had written the first version of this three years ago, to my first love. I just recently rewrote it and I like this version better. This was the original: its impossible to get you off my mind a guy like you is so hard to find i wish we could rewind to when you were mine i would hold you close and never let you go i wouldn't rush things and would take it slow i would do it all right this time if i could go back in time to when you were mine
