cries of the gazan in spirit

diegoiavarone

between cries of war and anguish

and the bloodshed of the many

solidarity bypassed

by tremored hands of stupored men

nurtured by the sand of time

now reduced to sand and rubble

teary eyed, laying supine

cry the sons of Kinneret

men with atlas as a model

tacit as they’ve always been,

loud with booming aggravations;

levied charges never seen

with the blood of all the Gazans

dried encrusted on their sleeves

badges of so great their honor

shimmer in the crimson gleam

and the sins that weigh them down

shall chain them on Judgment day

where the LORD will call them out

and debtors in life, shall pay

for between the cries of war and anguish

we all heed their pleads

and prostrate shall they no more

when weak Zion does concede.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.
