It’s Quiet

It’s quiet as I’m sitting next to this tree,
I can feel her veins that are rooting from the ground.
She brings me peace, delicacy, and healing.
I’m not talking about physical healing but spiritual.
I can hear her breath and when I touch her bark I can see her life span.
Giving so many animals a home, food and a shelter most her life.

I’m so much like this tree,
She called me.
Her branches are beautiful with purple flowers blossoming in the sun.
She is strong as she stands in the wind just like me when I want to run.
Stand tall
Stand sturdy
She never lets nothing get past her.
It’s quiet as we spend this time together.

She is a protector, A guide and she makes people smile as they walk by.
A fragile old soul, She makes darkness into light.
It’s quiet

All we hear is the birds fly singing their songs as the pass by.
It’s quiet
It’s safe
She makes this my safe place.

It’s quiet
