The Best Artists Have Cataracts

Euthyphro

I feel that through mine

I see the world too ridgedly,

As a series of shortening lines

A countdown nearing completion

While you see the world

As dancing blots

Of beautiful, shifting colors

Making mere impressions

Upon yours unfocused

I envy your ability

To witness the wonder

Of our waning world

Through your artist's eyes
