SAILED AWAY

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

I see you
When tall ships set sail
From the harbour
Banners waving
Upon those masts
Colour fading.

I see you
When first snow falls
Delicate and sweet
Footsteps in the street.

I see you
In childrens play
Noisy with delight
Sheltered from the night.

I see you
When a room becomes empty
Voices drained away
Could you not stay ?
