My Catherine

Alex PB

Notice of absence from Alex PB
Writin' more and more poems is my job,
I shall write when Shakespeare is back.

My sweet Catherine,

My queen, your majesty,

Your fair and blonde hair,

Your rippled yet delicate skin,

Your sweet cut accent,

Of Spanish honey,

Your eyes make me drunk,

They are like soft wine,

Mixed with the spark of love,

And the fizzle of emotion,

My queen, my Spanish dare,

Seduce me with your air,

Your whispers are a song,

A symphony of no wrong note,

For our son that never lived,

For the tears we both shed,

Your body that took such pain,

I never once raised my hand,

My true legitimate wife I could not keep,

My true lover that I deceived,

Forgive me, forgive my sins,

My Catherine.
