A Poem for the occasion of President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.’s 81st birthday.
By Azeezah Awal
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY PRESIDENT!
Joy to the chief, and blessed be his honour,
Overjoyed are we for your birthday hour,
So thankful are we for your gentle reign,
Exulting in happiness in your domain!
President of these great states of America,
Hail to the prodigy born in Pennsylvania!
Regally, eight decades ago, from God you were sent,
Ode to your legacy, my noble president!
Blessed be your birthday as our righteous leader,
Illustrious president who is greater than every Caeser.
Native to this nation, and a friend to all creation,
Educating this generation, with your administration!
The 46th president of this aspiring continent,
The noblest of wishes and joy be our sentiment,
Every happiness for your birthday, Mr. President!
Blessed are we to have you as the commander,
In our hearts, we pray in gratitude and wonder,
Daring to celebrate this fortune of your presence,
Earth and heaven rejoice for your merciful essence.
Never shall we forget your legacy and your patience.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., and your worthy family,
Rarely does heaven bestow- more nobler an emissary.
Never can this country, find the words to thank you,
Nor have we the power to adequately honour you,
For all that you have borne for their sake and for ours,
For all the compassion in your patience and powers,
You were a fountain who showered mercy and joy,
You were the hope for every girl and little boy,
As we are blessed with a leader who cares for all,
Whose legacy this nation will eternally enthral.
You stood by the bitter clime,
You stood by the slanders and pain;
You braved through the cruellest time,
And sacrificed every personal gain!
And so, we stand in ovation here today
For that blessing in which you came,
We thank your goodness, on this birthday,
Wishing you many more of the same!
May you forever remain, upon the pedestal of glory,
So, we can trace your name upon this nation’s story;
Let us celebrate the birth, and welcome this shining ray,
For my President was born eight decades ago- today!
For our preservation, from God you were sent,
May the happiest birthday be yours, my president!
We as a nation that was born to be free,
Are thankful to him who made it to be,
May every wish of yours today come true,
Mr. President, the happiest birthday to you!
May your legacy live forever in this enclave,
And you reign eternally in this land of the brave.
With tears and flairs, we applaud your command,
Let all the banners and flag for you still stand,
To hail your goodness and celebrate your life,
And honour forever your children and your wife,
From the hills of the golden field and autumn tree,
From this resting sea to that shining sea!
O how proud we are to call you ours,
Celebrating your birth with music and flowers;
A noble lifestyle your example has taught,
With every word, action and passing thought,
A president you are, worthy of all praise,
O, may you enjoy many happier birthdays!
One and eighty years ago, the heavens did glow,
As a president was born in hills by the snow,
Wise like Washington, and more just than Jefferson,
President Biden lived in every human orison,
For health, and happiness, and continued success,
Let us pray for peace and an eternal progress;
As his mark upon this nation, where men are free,
Are like the shadows of clouds floating upon the tree,
Eternally drifting over the sky and the sea,
President Joe Biden rules with utter clemency.
And, let this nation rejoice and earnestly say,
My president was born for the Thanksgiving Day!
A president and friend to everyone we know,
More comrade than a king, in every sorrow and woe;
President Joe Biden, on your eighty-first birthday,
Springing in joy, may we all cheerfully say,
The noblest of all goodness be for you,
And health, joy and blessing too;
Happy Birthday, Mr. President!
