Routine

Katdream

Go about my life
Day in day out
Routines planned to the hour
Sometimes thinking I’ll fit in today
Exchanges breaking the tedium
But, you’re not interested
In a girl like me

Go about my life
Day in day out
Nothing ever really changes
Lonely is still lonely
Words are refuge from the silence
That my mind can no longer endure
Won’t change the look in your eyes

Go about my life
Day in day out
Every day the same
Maybe just a quick rendezvous
No welcoming observed
I’ll leave silently
Don’t want to overstay my welcome

Go about my life
Early to bed, early…well you know the rest
Always wondering
What it would be like
To be a beautiful girl
Asked to stay a while
Be late in the morning for a change

That won’t happen to a girl like me…
