Illusive

Pave

Sitting quietly by the sea,

Listening to the rumbles of the tides

I kept ricocheting between my doubts and certainties

Every turn in picturing a breakthrough appeared blank

Then a sound thought popped into my mind saying;

"It's all an illusion

Sitting quietly, my heart beat synced with the momentary movement of the sea

Giving off a happy bitter emotion whenever I pictured my past

It is drenching see the next day and reliving the pain of the past

Agony, anxiety and sarcasm now seem to own me

Then the voice came again; "what an illusion my life has been

I wish I was somewhere, by the sea

    Beautiful. Great imagery.

  • Accidental Poet

    I grew up in a small town on the coast of Massachusetts. And in the harbor, there's a lighthouse that is a perfect place to sit and watch, listen and smell the ocean at dawn. It's a very inspiring place to be with your thoughts. Wonderful poem Pave.
