Loneliness is a hard apple to eat

But there is also beauty in it

The waves of structure

Align with the ships

I ache for more sorrow

Because it is lovely...

My home is your home

As you can see

For houses in the spring

Look so daunting

I love you more than any tomorrow

For we are still old friends...

My heart leaves a desperate sigh

Will you be my next mystery?

For a rose is still a rose

If it still grows,

What satisfaction do we get

From the idle?

As I walk idly by

I see tulips on the roof

I pour apple juice into my cup

And stare at the sun

Will I be blind tomorrow,

Or will I suffer intact?

For the final act is heartbreak.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Sometimes love is a hard pill to swallow...the revelation is real. I have experienced so much heartbreak. Even with friends, and family, and people in the workplace. All in all, I have learned a very valuable lesson. God is the only one I can depend on. And that's the truth.
