Echoing voice

Hearing your voice 
Echoing in my head 
Of you begging for mercy 
On a night of total disbelief
That haunts my nights 
Now and again 
I feel your pain 
All your anger 
I’m not sure where it should be released 
Wishing that this would just go away 
But it won’t 
The sound of your echoing voice 
Tears me apart 
I have never heard you sound like that before
 I never want to again either 
Wishing that i will wake up from this dream 
To find out that it was only in my dreams
 Where none of it was real 
Unfortunately, that isn’t the case  It was real 
But... 
The echoing voice doesn’t want to go away
 It is a reminder 
That I couldn’t save you
