When I get asked what's wrong.

I never know what to say.

Then when I don't answer.

That's when it starts.

Are you okay?

What's wrong?

I'm never okay

I wish people would understand.

That in the morning.

I'm struggling to get out of bed.

That even eating is getting hard.

That trying to smile like everything is okay is getting hard.

I'm trying okay.

I'm trying to get better.

I'm trying to get rid of the pain.

I'm trying to hide the scars.

I'm sorry okay.

Is that what you want to hear?

I'm sorry that I'm not okay.

But understand I'm trying.
