Have I ever had lovers? One, two or maybe more?
Have I felt safe from their love?
Have I felt happy under their wings?
Have I smiled at them?
Or have I even cried for them?
Have I spilt my passionate feelings on their fingertips?
Have I accepted them wonderfully?
Have I waited long days and even longer nights for their love?
Or maybe I knew they had a cold shoulder, and I left them behind?
Did I love each one just because I was vulnerable?
Or maybe I just felt scared at night?
Maybe I have been a fan of their men's perfume
Or perhaps I just loved the sweet tone of their love.
But one thing is sure to keep me awake in this hectic world
That no one has loved me more than my own shadow.

- Comment from author about the poem: I love modernism, even in creating the art of poetry. I like to write freely, without any claims of reformism, past school, or any connection with any poet before me. I also don't want to write with hidden meanings and complicated words. I prefer direct yet artistic writing.
