Birds

mtrotter1

Hey, do you want to be a bird?

Is it possible for a human to have wings?

For I am a bird

And I fly in my mind

I am high in the sky...

I'm sinking in deep ocean fruit

Where is my soul alas?

Deep in desperate and dark dreams

Romance seems a mile away

Long, long is the journey that awaits

Let us be birds

Desperate for a home;

Birds, birds

Beware of the sweet ocean flowers

Sinking deep into our hearts

As we fly...

Fly...fly...little bird

Fly like there's no tomorrow,

For tomorrow is not promised.

For we are all birds in the sky

Way up high

And eternity is right next door

And God is waiting,

Can't you see?

For we are birds

Broadening our horizons...

I cannot expose this dream myself.

When I think of birds in flight, I always envy the freedom they have to wing their way through empty sky. Who wouldn’t want to be a bird if they were feeling caged. My flight though, is I within my mind. Not ready for final departure yet.
