here

wordbrewer

I'm here.

It's just me.

Needing to think.

Longing for time.

Because I'm afraid,

that these cracks inside,

Have to seal back into a shape I recognize.

One that's good enough,

to show my true friends,

it'll take a while.

Wait don't go.

That's not what I meant.

Much more than a friend,

you're part of the 'me',

it's your glue for the seams,

and your helping hand that can lift the big trees.

Especially these.

They're really old.

With roots that go deep.

Pull hard if you please.

But lift with your knees.

Oh no are you hurt?

Is it your back?

Just take some time

To rest and repair.

I'll fetch pieces of you that you left over there.

Wait and rest and reflect in that chair.

I'll lift your big trees.

And re-glue your seams.

It's just what I need.

We both match who we are with how we are seen.

There.

I'm here.

You're with me.
