Holding On

I feel like I am walking on eggshells 

Thoughts haunt my mind, what if this fails 

I know you told me true love prevails 

But why then do I second-guess every single detail 

Why does every conversation feel like a new tale 

Like I am with a different person each day

You say that the beauty of love is revealing every layer with time

But when 

When does it start falling all together 

Starting to feel like forever 

Should I trust in the God above 

That this is part of the life mysteries I should solve 

That it's not always a walk in the park

And I should stop focusing on whats in the dark 

Because I knew the moment we met that I felt the spark 

You are mine and I am yours 

But why is it so unclear and all I keep seeing are flaws 

Not in us 

But in what could go wrong when our soul ties 

Maybe we need a bit more time 

I know everything will be alright 

This is just another phase and we will get through it just fine
