Acoustic

What a scary disposition, the feeling of sadness
And the way it continuously has a grip on me
No matter what I try to tell myself when I’m happy
“Ill never let this feeling go”
It did as did you.

And all the other rules of the universe step aside to reveal what truly matters
And how you let it all erase itself from your eyes
This is when you feel the pain in your stomach and your eyebrow tilt themselves down your face, and your mouth feels as though it has been sewn together
“I want to go home”
It’d be better not to speak but you did.

And now all your memories form themselves in front of you and the pain moves into your throat
And for a moment you combine yourself to every regret, every loath, every hope and reveal what never mattered
It didn’t, and It never will
I'll never let this feeling go.
