Sunshine\\\'s Jailhouse Poetry Series Poem #22 25 June 2020

sunshinewastaken

I remember the very first lesson,

That MoM gave me.

It was to heal,

The most important Tree.

I

was in Iowa, (1 Nov 2017)

Of All places.

Home to AshleyJo,

And wide-open spaces.

My eyes clouded over,

And I could see.

Off in the distance,

But as though it was in front of me.

A Massive Tree,

In need of help.

"I'm Coming!!!",

I decidedly tried to Yelp.

A Medusa-Like Monster,

Had a nasty grip of it's branch.

That big ole tree,

Was as big as a Ranch!

I raised my hands,

And aimed them at the tree.

Said a Spell,

And Hoped to be the Best I could be.

One Spark....,

Then Many More.

I could feel every ounce of energy,

All the way down to my core.

Slowly but Surely,

The monster disappeared.

And I couldn't help but whisper to myself...

"Well Merlin's Beard!!!"

I had done it,

I had passed the Test.

I had given it Everything,

I had given my Best.

That concluded,

My first lesson with MoM that year.

Kinda made me wonder...

Are all Witches Queer?

Thank you. It's exactly how it happened. The majority of my poems are based on my experiences.
