Moments

John Lee

It takes just a moment

To realize your beauty

And if I was only

A set of eyes just use me

To embrace the moments

Oh if I could only..

Walk barefoot across the sea

Close my eyes to hear her breathe

I'd let go and let her cover me

If I could only..

Fall without landing

I'd freely leap from this mountain

Leave the worries underneath

The wonder if love hungers me

Oh if I could only..

Get lost in your gaze

Wander through the stars

Aimlessly through your maze

Until I'm too far

Lost in the moment

If I could only..

Convince the world that you're real

Your art is something to feel

But only if we're still

We're too loud too busy

With nothing that matters

We pass by your beauty

And skimming through chapters

Of the life you've painted

As if we could change it

Oh if I could only..

Embrace the moments

Your poem truly touched my heart. It's like you've woven together the essence of longing, beauty, and the fleeting nature of moments into a tapestry of words that speaks directly to the soul. The imagery of walking barefoot across the sea and getting lost in someone's gaze is so vivid and evocative. Thank you for reminding us to slow down, to cherish the beauty around us, and to embrace each moment fully. Your artistry is truly something to be felt, and I'm grateful to have experienced it through your words.
