Wake up in the evening
Sleeping in the day
The demon's never leaving
The angel's here to stay
Staring out the window
Dancing in the light
October's halfway over
And I'm just loving life
Two months left to freedom
Start of something new
You never let me forget it
I'm coming home to you
The past is almost always
Nothing like it seems
The future's just a doorway
For me to see it clear
If you ever decide you remember
Just know that I'll still be around
I promised I'd never give up
I'll never let you drown
So write it in a letter
And I'll tell the world in song
Because we are people, not zombies
Together's where we belong
