The Power Of Adversity

mtrotter1

So much love has risen through the years

Am I destined to be stoned?

For many stars have fallen also

And we haven't been seeing eye to eye

Oh glorious monsters hide under my bed

With desperate eyes and whispering sins

To fall upon a rose wouldn't be so stealth

Yet love is still rising

And why is my breath from so long ago

When I actually had a heart?

For I breathed so many nights alone

And this doesn't make any sense

The actual revelries of my despising

And to the queen of all miseries

Do you understand the battleground?

For we all must die alone...

Oh the games people play,

Does my heart laugh in disdain?

For the spirit is in me somewhere

I can only hope for an ironclad

And the castle is full of sorrows

For the gifts of despair are limited

If I give you a rose

And you starve,

Does it mean that I starve too?

Unlimited am I

In my passion of despair

When I write you simple letters

Of love,

For I am getting seasick

From rocking back and forth

In misery;

Unlimited, am I

Because I feel the rage to be great

Acute roses fall in peculiar places

I was born a leader

And none other,

And what shall I become of this

Despite of all my losses?

I wonder if you think of me

During your sorrowful times,

For do I remind you of a flower?

Creative vices cure dead mices

What revelry shall I suffice?

Unborn, am I

In the victories of despair

Let us tolerate our differences

For we were born to be great.
