FEAR

MessyHead

Fear is greater than the monster

I belonged to the wrongness
For aye
My life
Was painfully mine

Fear is a void and a haven

Unsaved, I lay in grey spaces
And it meant I was no longer needed
I made myself unseen and unseeing

Fear is a feeling

Smeared on the walls
Putrid
Humid
Swooning, sweat falls

Left behind, I creep
In my mind, I sleep
Dance as I chant self sabotaging laws

Carved
Starved
I rise
What for?

Fear is a beast on its own
And free is worse
Free is a curse

Freedom is worth all the hurt in the world, but it's tainted by the weight that crushes
Those human touches

In the struggles, I have slaughtered meaning
Swallowed the bitter feeling
Facing my destruction, I rose to meet it
