A Phoenix

PoliteKangaroo

Aashu!

Where I have been shameless, you have been forgiving
and destiny has check-mated me this time,
karma mathematically playing its role.

Life taught me in the strictest way,
first took my exam, failed me later.

It potentially became too long before I could realize the value,
of who alone was with me, trying to support,
of whose trust was pure,
and love selfless,
and feelings true,
and who came forward,
when most others were turning away.

I realised the value when it was a memory,
though very strong, overwhelming,
but not when it was the moment.

I think this situation, this slap,
came only and only to make me understand,
true value of selflessness,
of humility,
and,
the meaning of forgiveness,
and,
the utmost need of angels who embody these.

Though sometimes, a wanderer of a thought
comes - that still when you peep in your heart,
you are going to find me there,
for that’s where Ive been residing,
ever since I got the realization

Understanding, coming to terms,
and maybe taking it into my stride,
trying to be wiser, not wounded,
but yes,
I believe,
I too have the powers of a Phoenix
