Stars Crossed: The Angel's Earthly Sojourn

Meera Mere

From celestial heights, I descended, a fallen star,

In pursuit of a love unknown, a quest both near and far.

Her visage eludes me, her whereabouts unknown,

Yet, I yearn to behold her, for my remaining days to own.

Forsooth, she chose this earthly realm, and I, bereft of choice,

Her voice and essence, my sole tether, my guiding voice.

Amidst a world of shattered hearts, I seek her, undeterred,

For what is victory without her, my one and only word.

In the realm of stars, she shone, a beacon of light,

As I watched, captivated, in the depths of the night.

Amidst the darkness, she descended, a vision so rare,

A moment of magic, suspended in the air.

Through misty fog, the moon hid its face,

While the stars whispered tales, in their celestial grace.

But my heart, restless, cried out for her near,

Yearning to hold her, to chase away all fear.

Now, in the bustling streets of New York, I roam,

Seeking her presence, in the haven of a book lounge, my home.

For there, she may be, lost in fairytales' embrace,

Imagining her own story, adorned with grace.

I long to be her guardian angel, her protector true,

To listen to the beauty, she finds in the delusions she grew.

Together, we'll weave a tapestry of dreams untold,

In a love story that's destined to unfold.

In the realm of destiny, I hold steadfast to the belief,

That one day, our souls shall intertwine, finding sweet relief.

But alas, this earthly abode may not befit,

A guardian angel like me, with wings to omit.

Each day, a lingering trepidation resides in my heart,

Fearful of becoming a subject, a mere research chart.

I conceal my majestic wings, the embodiment of warmth,

Gathered through time, wisdom, and knowledge's true form.

Yet, all my endeavors are not for this world's selfish ways,

But for her, the star that graced my path, igniting my blaze.

My love and devotion are owed to the one who stole my heart,

For she alone possesses the power to tear my celestial realms apart.
