The Song That Knew Me

GeekSusie

In the quiet of the night, a melody plays,

A tune so profound, it takes my breath away,

Each chord strikes a feeling, a memory inside,

A secret whispered only to the night.

Lyrics like the wind, they dance through my mind,

A song so personal, how could it be mine?

Each word tells a story, each note paints a hue,

Of love, loss, and longing, emotions I've been through.

I close my eyes, lost in the song,

A serenade so perfect, could it be wrong?

It speaks of my dreams, my fears, my delights,

A mirror of my soul in the cold, quiet night.

I drift on the notes, I sway in the verse,

A dance with the music, a universe,

A connection so deep, it can't be undone,

In melody's embrace, I am the chosen one.

A gift from the artist, or fate's subtle play,

I'll cherish this song, every night, every day,

A piece of my heart forever to be,

A song that was written, it seems, just for me.
