Something For The Sun

mtrotter1

You light up my life

In the prettiest ways

And I feel your warmth

When I come your way

And my heart is filled with sunlight

I see myself falling from the sky,

Am I going to die

Or am I going to live?

For I still feel that sunlight

And I think I see God

Wherefore do I live for these heavenly ways?

For I am distant most days

Oh pretty sun, is eternity fun?

Does my heart not soar for you?

And I don't mind

Living in my demise

Behold the smile

On a child's face

For we are so innocent in our childlike ways

So here's something for the sun

Have a drink on me...

Oh how brilliant is the sun's demise?

Brilliant questions seem to cross

my mind,

For what is the sun without rain?

For I shall rain upon the heavenly sun.
