Love

AddieThomas100

Love does not discriminate,
It does not hate,
It sees the flaw,
And the Being at the core.

That is to say,
Love is the only way,
To write a wrong,
This is where we belong.

Wandered so far,
Samskara after samskara,
Thought and action,
One more unkind reaction.

But as we travel,
Love continues to unravel,
We are it,
Bible, Tao, Sanskrit.

Turn thoughts into right action,
Least not expect perfection,
From a world forgotten in love true,
'I' love 'you'.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The journey of a human suggests that love is a certain way....... I have found earthly, mind-driven love to be very one-sided, selfish, lustful...... I choose another way....a love that we are, at the core of our being, which asks nothing of no one else.....
