Letter

zeraprinc

You left the old neighborhood
and promised with a letter that you would contact me,
but the letter never arrives,
as if you want to forget me.

I meet the postman and ask,
"Is there anything from her, mate?",
and he just shrugs his shoulders,
"Your roses have withered."

I'm waiting for just one letter,
one small piece of paper,
but if I get it,
my heart will finally have peace.
