FallingAwake2

Detachment and disconnect,
everywhere, with everyone…
absently, yet hastily moving
from place to place,
from person to person,
with restless searching…
searching for home.

Each inept attempt
brought unrest and unclarity…
never knowing where I should be,
or what was even so wrong.

I needed somewhere to exist,
but was trapped by my skin walls.

Then you, came into view,
bringing a structure of safety,
And now, I’m aware,
home is not a place,
but a being…
to come and strip down your walls,
and build up your home together.
