who will love me
when i wear nothing but a smile
when my face and body are bare
who will love me
when my laugh is genuine and raw
and i have no regard for my looks
who will graze their skin against mine
when we share the gift of slumber
cosy and warm
the question is who,
for i will adore every inch of them too
no matter how ‘flawed’
i look deeper
the way the sun caresses their cheeks,
or the look they give me when amused
i find my face lighting up
a warm smile or a bright laugh
when you can give me all of yourself
that is when you will realise that every part of you can be loved.
