How much?

epiloger

you need to pay me rent, for taking all this space in my head.
(I say to her one day, in an attempt to flirt)

How much?
she asked laughingly,
sending me to another poetic spiral
and I think to myself,
how much is enough...
what should I say...
what words will give me,
the most strategic romantic advantage
in this game we play.

How much?
twice more than oceans and seas,
three times the freshness of morning trees,
four times the bliss of clear sky,
and five times longer than
the expanse of deserts dry.

How much?
🫵you pay me in smiles
and we'll see how that goes.
will I survive them?
no one truly knows.

I think poems open up doorways into another's heart. So yeah.. make her pay!
