poetry is my grounding point
embedded in my body's core
where all parts of myself are stored
waiting to be poured
i wonder how long my hand has spent
clasped around my pen
and if the page rejoices at the pressure
when they start to dance again
i wrote the words
they healed my heart
a real act of serendipity
true love and sensitivity
practised in newfound vulnerability
what magic is stored in words
that brings such a release?
i write, put down all the trauma
to find serenity and peace
poetry will forever be a part of me
my pen the truest friend
whether my life be long or short
i remain writing to the end.
