How his "viewing habits" can break your heart

caz84

I almost felt you loved me,

I almost felt you cared,

I started to feel comfortable,

Relaxed, no longer scared.

I don’t know what I was thinking,

Or why I let you in,

Just to break my heart again,

Cos I’ve seen the things you’ve seen.

My heart it went on fire,

Rage rose within my chest,

Then I started crying,

Wondering what’s next.

Everything you said you weren’t,

Is everything you are,

You said it doesn’t matter,

Like a knife upon a scar.

But you never said you’re sorry,

Or tried to make amends,

You just blamed me for my anger,

 And disappeared again.

It matters to you and that is all that counts. Powerfully conveyed. Well written stanzas. Thank you.
