Teenage love

kate.povetina

Teenage love is fake they say

It always fades away.

Teenage love lasts only days they say,

you'll end up going stray.

Your heart will break to bits of dust

there'll be no words to say,

there is no love at that young age,

your life will fade to gray.

But somehow I'm so tempted

to be young, and in love

I'm tempted to have someone close,

and not a lack there of.

I ought that scorching fire within

that burns the flames of warmth

I need to feel that passion through

My veins, as though they're fireproof.

And they can claim all that they want

I'm not going to resist,

but I'm an anxious teenage mess,

I'm young waiting for love.

Some teenage love might not last , that doesn’t make it fake. My parents were 17 and 19 when they became engaged. They were married happily for 40 years before my Dad died. They had five children and my Dad adored my mother. Age might not be the number one factor when it comes to love. When it happens go with the flow. I enjoyed the read. Thank you.

      Thank you:))
Also wow, what your parents had was really rare and amazing! Really inspiring to be honest.

Love found me at 10 years old. But I believe it was one sided. And I knew then that it would last forever. If you read more of my writing, you'll understand. But what you hear of falling in love is true. You have to be very careful who you give your heart to. Well penned kate. 😉
