Tomorrow Is My Heart's Being

mtrotter1

Reconciliation--

What do you want from me?

For this little strength I have

Is gone...

Why don't you try

Not speaking to me?

I have no tears

And I have no love

These pictures on the wall

Are taken down

And my soul lusts for you

No more

Oh reconciliation--

Don't you bother me no more

For the streets are well-off

Without you...

It's hard enough

That I have to sit here

And look at these walls

Because your love was always empty

And I'm sorry I ever met you

May you rest in peace

Goodbye to your sorrowful lie.

Broken love is painful and reconciliation for some can be out of the question. Time can soften such hurt. This reader felt your pain in your poem.
