Christmas tree

cofhypieces

God of Love

Sent a gift wonderful

for men below not above

and made giving so meaningful

a tree with branches we have

with shelter and a nest

with trunk and a place to perch

for an easy climb

its a quiet night until a baby is born

the wise men walked the night cold

sending frankincense

not forgetting gold

and kept the tree for us here

christmas trees shed their leaves hereafter

spreading love to the unloved

singing out love abroad

holding hands

and a round table dinner

a thank you to the good that came across

christmas brings excitements

the colours

decorations

and the sights

a great feeling for those in respite

new songs that never sung

come home singing

silver bells that never rung

go about ringing

merry christmas !!
