The Perfect Kiss

Achsah Susan Binu

In a forest high, mid-July sky,

Raindrops fall, but we don't mind.

Tinted windows, his eyes met mine ,

Lost in your gaze, the world just fades away

Rain on the glass, whispered symphony ,

Your kiss like a storm, I can’t deny.

World melts away, just you and me,

Lost in the rain, a timeless sway.

Eyes like honey, a voice a sigh,

No words we speak, yet souls entwine,

Wanna hold him, forever near,

In that hush, love whispered clear.

Monsoon mist, a secret  sigh,

Your kiss a monsoon, wild and high.

World fades away, just you and me,

Forever etched in those rainbows afar.

He saw my soul, I saw his too,

Complete, like the sky after the hue.

Wanted to keep him, forever near,

As raindrops whispered, secrets we'd hear.

Leans in close, hands on my face,

Time stood still, in that sweet embrace.

Wanted it to last, forevermore,

Rain’s washing away all but you.

So let it fall, the rain of memory

Fire and rain ,enchanting all

We chased the storm's edge, hand in hand we flew

That perfect kiss, my love, it belonged to you.
