What The Mirror Show's

Emperor

When I stare at the mirror

Who is it that stare's back

Is it the sum of my fears

All the courage that I lack

Or is it the peace I'm seeking

Maybe the light I've always had

Or is it the darkness creeping

Moulding worse from the bad

And all the days that come

And all the days that pass

I am staring at this mirror

With one question that I ask

How long before it shatters

For then I shall find

The person staring back

Has been me all this time

Stare at the shattered mirror

Ignore the thoughts that come

My questions I know are valid

Understood by only some

With time I realized

The monster and the man

Whatever the mirror shows

Might not be all I am
