In the wisdom of years, and love's gentle embrace,
I whisper these words, no falsehood or lace,
When I say be my lover, it's not surface or flair,
No affairs, no secrets, just this tender love's prayer.
I don't mean sleep with me, or play hidden games,
Our love's more than that, more than just fleeting flames,
I want us to travel to where our love took root,
A passion unyielding, in truth, that's resolute.
Be the one who loves me, through all trials we face,
Through laughter and tears, in this infinite space,
I want to be the one who holds your heart so true,
In love's aged wisdom, forever loving you.
Let's go back down to the core, where our love was born,
Where we found each other, in life's rosy dawn,
In each other's soul, we'll again truly see,
The simplicity of love, just you and me.
Hold my hand, my love, let's walk this well-worn path,
With memories cherished, and a love that won't lapse,
Be my lover, in every sense of the word,
A love unmasked, a voice always heard.
