In the heart of slavery
I stand in love,
For I am a slave for love;
Illumination rises
And I am reborn again
Though it is quite painful, this life
I will never take it for granted, again
And in this lifetime
The sun may shine again
The rosy chandeliers will fall
And the statues of Harlem
Will die peacefully,
Though I've never been to Harlem
I can feel its face
And I can breathe its words
In my heart,
Just like any other city
There is a smiling grace
Running behind daddy's blues
While daddy ties his shoes;
We love and we chase the brilliant evering
Two peas in a pod
Love grows deep
And here we are again
Trusting and discerning
Whether to go bad or not
The spies of ridicule in dismay
Force the regions to display
Our love for deep ruins
Our love for chaos
Let us pray that our hearts grow fair
And in dire ruins
Shall we make love in the fire?
Shall we not display this display?
For love is top-notch
In the center field...
Put me in coach
For I am ready to play
For love's atmosphere
Takes over all
What a splash to be made today
For I can die in this pool of love
Today
And all my wonders will suffer
Today
And all my hopes and dreams will wander
Today,
For love's sphere
Is enticing...
Oh what a brave new world
Today.
