Sound of silence

accross_world_with_u

Sound of silence

Clock on the wall, Tick-tock tick-tock

Neighbor at the door, Knock-knock, knock-knock.

Faucet over sink, Drip-drip, drip-drip,

Let us grab another drink, Sip-sip, sip-sip,

With my elbow blocking off a sneeze,

Wind chimes playing in a gentle breeze.

Warming fire, crackles

And One fighter another tackles

Crowds begin to clap,

Baby’s waking from his nap.

Ouch! I stubbed my toe,

Rushing rivers overflow.

Angry dog, grr-grr

Sleepy cat, pr-pr

In cheerful celebration glasses clink,

In pursuit sirens blare, blue lights blink.

Let’s dance to this new beat,

Early birds begin to tweet.

Breaker heart is asking, Why?

Grieving one can only sigh.

Comedian’s making people laugh,

Nature’s not done with her wrath.

Roaring cities which never sleep,

Rushing drivers honking, beep-beep, beep-beep.

Long eared owl calling, whoo-Whoo, whoo-whoo.

Speeding train barreling on by, chu-chu, chu-chu.

Order’s up, ding-ding,

Sounds of money rolling in, ka-ching,

Hope’s and dream’s slowly dying,

As Politician’s boldly lying.

Angry masses loudly shout,

But War’s never the right route.

Cold winter winds whistle,

So does a fired missile.

Faithful believers, earnestly praying,

So much noise, I’m just saying.

All the noise and noise, war and violence,

How I wish it’d be replaced by peace and the sound of silence.
