Light

Waiting for you? Just the right time? 
But what if you're late? Running against time? 
Mixed up the date? And it's all down to fate?
I'm not meant to wait? 
You can find me anywhere? 
That's your inhered trait? 

Just let me breathe - balance my mind - prepare for what's coming to me.
Sit real still - top of the trees - birds eye view - with a nice breeze. 
Will it come to me with ease? Will it bring me to my knees? 
If I deepen my meditation - will I find the answers I need?
Will I get a hint if I say please? 

My mind just goes and goes.
Through all the what ifs and what it knows.
One thing off - the worry grows -
until it happens or I'm shown.
And it's all for growth?
Pain, struggle and hardship
brings the most?
Or does darkness just select its hosts?
Haunted the house with the most ghosts?
To keep me on my toes?

Staring down the barrel of a gun
or the end of my nose.
Is it circumstance or fear
that keeps me froze?
Sent a light to guide my way..
Blessed with wisdom -
let my inner child play.
Will I defect and push it away.
Or keep it close and let it stay.
This is a gift for which I have prayed.
Gifted Angel to bright my day
