One Last Time

13LaurenD

How many times are you going to start over before you finally get it right?

And you stop doing good all day and then ruin it all at night?

How many times are you going to let people who don't care control how you act, think, and feel?

Because things are never going to get better if you don't allow yourself time to heal.

But you keep holding yourself back because you care too much about what people would say,

But you finally realize that if you don't let it go, then you are never going to be okay.

The only way that anything is ever going to change, is if you learn to let the past go,

And although it won't be easy, you know that you need to take it slow.

But the change isn't going to come in one day,

And you know that you need to work through it in order to find the way.

And the hardest part is going to be letting go of the people who you know are no good for you,

And deep down, you know that that is going to be the most difficult thing to do.

But you know that you need to let go of who you are in order to become who you want to be,

And you have to continuously work on it, even when it becomes difficult to see.

For now, this is my time and no one is going to stop me,

From finally becoming the person who I want to be.
