My Calm

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

He is our peace. Our calm when the storm grows stronger. Doubt doesn’t live within us any longer. Faith over Fear such powerful words. His love for us grows; haven’t you heard? Rejoice in his name when all goes wrong. Trials and tribulations make us strong. Rejoice and be thankful when all goes right; start your day with Him; and end with Him each night!

    Amen.

Yes, I fuss sometimes of folk enjoying themselves at church. But we (me included) need not feel guilty over it. We know we're not practising escapism from troubles, but that we are rejoicing in Him.

There's a sort of line of thought too, when we may suddenly think and say 'But there's people starving in the world', though we may not have given them much thought otherwise. It can be good to think of the poor though.
At some times it may be a bit like Judas though, when a woman broke a pot of expensive perfume and poured it over Jesus. He thought it was wasted and said it could have been sold and money given to the poor. But then it adds 'This he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was the treasurer, and stole from the funds' Doh!
