Another chance

Alan R

I hope I am not the only one here
Wishing for a miraculous start again
Fresh as a cirtus bleeding onto mint leaves
Circling around this thought, is it in vain?

Would you do it again or do it differently?
Or would you wish the same kind of pain
How many before and after me did this
Digging and burying over and over again

The jasmine blooming on a hot summer day
Does it make you want to draw a line
A line that marks the start of this life
Could you even begin, without the need to define?

That fresh rose you gave your lover
Did you taste any newness in your mind
Could the colors of their blush create a divide
Between what's gone and what you'll still find?

The winter breeze after the leaves have fallen
No rustling and yet they have things to say
Do they siren you too...to question this life?
Or is it just me who has finally lost the way...

Love all the images "Fresh as a cirtus bleeding onto mint leaves" so vivid. Nicely done
