Deep Into Thoughts

HKS

As Carl Sagan says, we are like "mites on plums",

Arrogant and fighting among ourselves,

Some live on edifices, others in slums.

This rocky lone planet earth,

Floating amidst trillions of other planets;

What value do we hold? what is our purpose?

One could ponder over it since birth.

Thinking about this vast creation, one looses all his whims and desires.

We are just his amusement, living in a simulation.

Only an insane mind would argue that our existence is something that he requires.

We are heading towards our final destination as this timeline runs.

Neither does the absence of mankind alter the universe, nor does our presence.

I asked myself then, what pride is it there to be a human?

Only when I was demotivated enough,

My heart interrogated, "but aren't we the chosen ones?"

Mankind was only born on earth, it was never meant to die here.

Our ultimate destination lies somewhere in a higher dimension, paradise for the good, torment for the bad.

Atleast that's how this simulation ends.

This is one true fact everyone should bear.

My writings are cryptic,

One does not understand it, but once he does,

This worldly life becomes a sea, and he's the seasick.
