Try and tame the crawling that ripples my skin
Faces present themselves
mouths wide
pressing beneath my hide
What's the point of biding my time when the game's already over?
I press my mouth into my shoulder
Oh, that's what it feels like again
I won't leave the teeth
That's left for the faces beneath
Time and again, the outlines press until thin
repeating the same lines I've said again
The same lies I smile again
Though, they fade
A quiver points in all the right directions
trembling lips actually giving me function
smile, it's what I've been told
Until now, it's been awhile since I've been that bold
Time and again, the outlines press until thin
repeating the same lines I've said again
The same lies I smile again
Though they fade
I'll take back my dignity
Leave the woes for the birds
I'll take back my dignity
They're woes for the birds
Time and again, outlines press until thin
The faces beneath
They're beneath
Me
