Painful truth

Natalie Heisey

They say truth will set you free, But does it really, in all reality? Every spoken truth, unseen bruises it leaves,Yet my pain lingers, refusing to fucking ease.

In this journey of self-discovery, I'm still  not alone, Finding my place, where I truly belong.Though disconnected at times, from mind and reality, I trust in my abilities, in my own virtual vitality

So I try hard to rise above the pain, like a rage phoenix in flight Creating a world  that needs to feel normal and right.

With each step forward, I embrace the unknown For in this new journey, my true self is forced to always be shown.
