Death, The Enemy!

1 Corinthians 15:26

Your reach is truly vast,

Sometimes you’re slow, sometimes you’re fast.

Many claim how you’re not partial,

Yet you’ll still take the soldier before you take the Marshall.

You’re not picky, this much is true.

You’ll take anyone, that you’ll do.

Wherever you land, rivers of tears will flow,

As we lay your victims down below.

Peacefully they’re laying in row after row,

As in their memory the candles gently glow.

No matter, rich or poor, young or old.

No treasure can bribe you, not even with good.

Yes, you enslaved many with chains of fear,

Convincing them their life is meaningless because you’re always near.

From me you stole my father.

And now you also want my mother?

You boldly say “I never lose, I always win”!

Because you walk hand in hand with sin.

I know, just as birds of a feather,

You were both born together.

You’re nothing more but a useful fool,

The kind the Devil uses as his tool.

And you’re quite arrogant by thinking “my power will never diminish”!

But just you wait, you too shall meet your FINISH!
